Visit the YKK Factory in Cimanggis

Hello everybody. Today we’ll talk about the YKK Factory in Cimanggis, Fastening Experience. Before i tell you about the visit and the experience, anybody know about YKK?? The initial YKK is stand for Yoshida Kōgyō Kabushiki Kaisha (吉田工業株式会社?) that’s means Yoshida Manufacturing Company. YKK group is there in 71 countries around the world and YKK Group is most famous for making zippers; however, it also manufactures other fastening products, architectural products and industrial machinery. In Indonesia, there are so many YKK factory and the head office in Cikini, Menteng, Jakarta Pusat.
When i visited YKK factory in Jalan Raya Bogor, Cimanggis, we were so welcomed by the employer. They guided us in the factory and we saw the proces of making the zipper till the finishing process. In YKK factory in Cimanggis, there is a room that’s named Fastening Experience Touch and Feel. Here, we saw so many products form YKK that were used all over the world. I just realized that the zipper is not only being used for clothes or shoes but it can be used for all purposes, especially for the astronaut clothes and the zipper can be planted in the sea. Amazing, isn’t it?? we can take a picture in this room but in the factory, we can’t take a picture because it’s prohibited.
There’s not only the zipper but there are so many others products likes snap button, hook and loop fastening ( quicklon), and so many more. and i suggest that you play the quick attack here. It’s so interesting and fun. i want to play it again, hahaha. You’ll laugh if you see my picture with my friend in quick attack.

Okay, lets go back to our chit chat. There’s one room that named Fastening Experience Executive Suite, here you’ll see the creativity that made from YKK products especially from the zipper. I feel so amazed when i enter this room. You can take some picture with your friend. You should visit the YKK factory in Cimanggis if you live in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta. You’ll feel the fastening experience. It’s not only the fun experience but you’ll more and more know everything about the zipper and YKK product from this trip. At the end of the visit, we’ll get some souvenir and before it we’ll do some workshop. I made a bracelet that made from the teeth of zipper but it’s a special teeth, i forgot the name of the teeth. It’s really a cool bracelet.
Here some picture from YKK products. All of YKK product is made with the highest and best quality. As a Japanese company, they really prioritize the quality and customer needs. I admire their work ethic. And do you know some famous brand, they made the zipper, button, pull tab, etc in YKK Group. So they cooperate together with YKK Group just like shita uke system or joining venture system. You should check your zipper, jeans buttons or anything else, who knows you use the YKK products.
