Learning Strategy in Pandemic Era: Collaborative Research Between Students of BINUS University and Kanazawa Seiryo Women Junior College

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic hit the world at the end of 2019 and caused a significant change in human life. One of them is the education system. Social restrictions urged the education system to carry out various strategies so that the learning process could run properly. This article will discuss the approach taken by the Japanese Literature study program of Binus University to conduct research collaborations with Kanazawa Seiryou Woman’s Junior College Japan during the pandemic by using some learning technologies. The applied approach is qualitative through observation of student discussion activities and analysis of final student reports. From the applied studies, this activity had a very significant impact on improving both the technical abilities and soft skills of the students.
